There is no such mandatory requirements of SAT or ACT scores for admission considerations. Such scores are highly beneficial for some of the cases such as, it helps in the placements courses related to mathematics. Scores of these examinations are also an automatic invitation to join Western Michigan University Lee Honors College.  

Western Michigan University requires international students to have the coverage of health insurance right from the first day of class. Students are required to purchase health insurance for the entire semester or academic year. All the documents of health insurance coverage must be submitted to International Admissions and Services.  In the context of immunization, there is no mandatory requirement in the admission unless and until stated by health professionals. 

All the students who are registered with Western Michigan University are sent a semester invoice four to five weeks before the commencement of the semester. This invoice includes tuition fees, room and board, schedule of class and the due date of tuition. If students are not registered at the invoices then, the monthly online statement will reflect all payments and charges. A notification will be sent through email when the statement is online available. 

For most of the graduate programs, official transcripts are required from the previously attended institutions for a bachelor's degree. However, the mandatory requirement varies as per the department and programs. Students are required to review at the time of applying. Programs having additional transcript requirements include nursing, physician assistant, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech pathology and public health. 

Yes, the program of Fall Welcome is mandatory in Western Michigan University for all the students in the first year but, it is not necessarily required for fall sports, transfer students or marching band. However, transfer students are encouraged to participate actively. All the non-graduate incoming students are projected to participate in the program but, for any reason if a student is not able to attend Fall Welcome then it is suggested to call the Office of Student Transitions for further assistance.
