Scholarship Overview

UR Circle of Scholars Entrance Scholarship is offered by the University of Regina to international students. UR Circle of Scholars Entrance Scholarship is available for students from all countries who want to study Bachelors Degree in the Canada at the University of Regina. Every year, the university selects 13 candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is CAD 5000 at University of Regina. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program. Participating Programmes: UR Circle of Scholars Entrance Scholarship is available for the Bachelors Degree. We have listed below the Bachelors Degree Programmes of University of Regina that are eligible for the scholarship: BSc in Biochemistry,BSc in Chemistry,BSc in Actuarial Science,BSc in Physics,BSc in Applied Physics,BSc in Statistics,BSc in Mathematics,BSc in Nursing,BSc in Biology,B.Sc. Honours in Computer Science etc as given. To be eligible for this grant, applicants must have taken the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE.

Applicability of the scholarship

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed. This scholarship is applicable for Bachelors Degree.

Scholarship Eligibility

No Special Restriction applicable.
Applicants must be entering from a secondary school and have a minimum admission average of 85% to a direct-entry undergraduate degree program.
Students must register and remain registered in a minimum of 9 credit hours per term up to and including the last day of classes.
TOEFL- Overall 83, Reading: 20; Listening: 20; Speaking: 20; Writing: 20.
IELTS- 6.5 with no band less than 6.0.
PTE- 59 with no area with less than 59.
Duolingo- 110 (Accepted on a temporary basis until April 30, 2023).
For Faculty of Nursing - Only IELTS accepted 7 overall with 6.5 in Reading and 7 in Listening, Speaking and Writing.

ELP waiver:- Successful completion of at least 24 credit hours (University of Regina degree level equivalent) in an approved English-language post-secondary institution, including at least 6 credit hours in humanities or social science subjects and with a minimum grade point average of 60.00% or equivalent For the Faculty of Nursing, post-secondary studies from a country that is not on the English Exempt Country List must have been completed within two (2) years of application to the Faculty.
Successful completion of at least 24 credit hours (University of Regina degree level equivalent) in an approved English-language post-secondary institution, including at least 6 credit hours in humanities or social science subjects and with a minimum grade point average of 60.00% or equivalent.
