The main difference between an M.Eng and an M.Sc in engineering in the UK is that the M.Eng is a four-year integrated undergraduate degree. And an M.Sc is one year postgraduate degree which students pursue after they complete a three-year B.Eng.
A UK M.Eng degree is recognised around the world as a high quality professional qualification. But how it is going to count as a PG degree abroad will depend mainly on the country and context.
Doing an M.Eng is not going to automatically make you a chartered engineer in the UK.
You can almost always transfer from a B.Eng to an M.Eng once you are at the university in the UK.
International students are not eligible for UK government postgraduate loans. An M.Eng is mainly classified as an UG level qualification in the UK.
