Academy Profession (AP) in USA

An academic profession is a 2 year European qualification, usually associated with Denmark. It is usually a short, career focused courses. The USA does not usually use the AP degree title, instead US qualifications closely mirror the American Associate Degree.

An academic degree usually focuses on academic knowledge and a static portion including a B. A. or B.S.A or B.S. Whereas a professional degree prepares students for a specific profession, like a J.D for law or an M.D for medicine.

It depends on the university, students may require a credential evaluation to reflect how their AP qualification aligns with the US education system. The university will decide whether any credits can be transferred.

International students usually cannot use the US Federal work study courses. However, F-1 students may have other work options, such as eligible on-campus employment and authorised CPT or OPT.

AP degrees are not a standard US qualification, career opportunities largely depend on how the credential is evaluated and the student's field. Furthermore studying in the US may enhance career opportunities.
