BTech Bachelor of Technology in Canada

BTech is not a standard Canadian degree title; the closest equivalents are Bachelor of Technology programmes offered by a handful of polytechnics, or more commonly a Bachelor of Engineering or Applied Science degree. Annual tuition for international students in these programmes generally ranges from CAD 20,000 to CAD 45,000.

Some polytechnics and universities offer entrance scholarships for strong applicants to their technology and applied science programmes, though availability and amounts vary considerably by institution.

Since BTech-equivalent graduates in Canada are generally tracked under broader engineering technology or applied science categories, starting salaries commonly fall in the CAD 50,000 to CAD 70,000 range, depending on the specialisation and region.

It depends on the programme. Many Canadian applied technology and engineering degrees include a mandatory co-op or work-integrated learning component, but this isn't universal, so it is worth checking the specific curriculum.

Some colleges and polytechnics offer part-time or evening study options for related technology diplomas and degrees, though full-time international students on a study permit generally need to remain enrolled full-time to maintain their status.
