Yes, the university provides students with financial support in emergencies during the academic year. The university is approachable when they believe the situation is genuine and something unexpected has occurred that has resulted in the additional cost. Two things that will not be considered emergencies are the accommodation payment and running out of money. 

The UKVI compliance team is working in the university to maintain the status of those students whose visas are sponsored by the UK home office and, along with this, also supports the recruitment of international students. The team also guides students on critical matters concerning the UK Homes Office. The university has separate departments that handle student issues individually. 

The university has a separate sports centre for its students, providing various activities. These activities help students in the achievement of fitness goals. Students will explore 50 stations at the sports centre, a gym, squash courts and a multipurpose sports hall. It also contains a dance studio and a clinic for sports injuries. Along with this, the university offers state-of-the-art facilities for health students. 

The welcome day at the university is held for undergraduate students. This event aims to help students know each other and develop an ability to evolve in university life. This is not a formal induction nor a course-specific discussion, but it's an informal get-together where you will meet other students. Also, on this welcoming day, certain other events are conducted to make this day memorable for students. 

Students applying for accommodation can do so when the University of Plymouth confirms UCAS as their first choice. Students will receive an email with the link to apply for the accommodation. The entries for the same can be made in early February. Using early for accommodation at the university has one main advantage: getting the room of your choice.
