French President Emmanuel Macron announces the launch of 'Classes Internationales', an exceptional French learning programme for Indian students.
With this programme, scholars can learn French for a year in France before pursuing the degree of their choice. The classesinternationales.org is hoisting the application, and candidates can register by 31st March 2024.
The initiative reflects in the joint statement endorsed by President Macron and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 26th January, as said by the embassy.
The programme is designed to help India's high school graduates benefit from France's educational offerings without being limited to English-taught programmes. With the help of this programme, a student can get admission into French-taught undergraduate programmes after completing a foundational year of language training at the institute. Even though a learner is a complete beginner, they can still access France's rich, diverse, and renowned educational offerings through this programme, which makes it exciting.
Here are some key features of the new French language learning programme - Classes Internationale, provided by the French government.
The French President stresses his commitment to opening new opportunities for Indian students. He exemplified initiatives such as Classes Internationale and the 5-year short-stay Schengen visa for alumni. In addition, India, being the biggest beneficiary of French academic scholarships, intensifies bilateral relations, as stated by the embassy.
According to the statement, Emmanuel Macron said, "We want to welcome 30,000 Indian students to France by 2030 and added that if this goal was met- I would be the happiest President."
The French President, Emmanuel Macron, was on a two-day visit to India last week. He was the esteemed chief guest at the 75th Republic Day celebration in the national capital.
Macron, during his tour of Amber Fort, also met with Indian students from the Alliance Française de Jaipur and the French departments of Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University. He also connected and interacted with alumni back from France after graduation.
French President Emmanuel Macron has made a call to the youth of India. In his message, he says that India and France have so much to do together, now and in the future. We will achieve this with our young people in exchange for cooperation, trust, and friendship.
Surprisingly, Macron's announcement came just a few hours after an intense discussion between him and Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the India-France relationship. Furthermore, this programme is undoubtedly a significant step towards the Horizon 2047 Roadmap, a shared vision of both countries. Now, we must wait and see the impact it will have on their vision and that of both countries.
