WMG Excellence Scholarships are merit-based awards, available on a competitive basis, With a student intake of over 1,300 each year, the scholarship scheme is designed to support excellence and diversity of perspective which will enrich the learning environment.
Applicability of the scholarship
This scholarship needs a separate external application. This scholarship is applicable for Masters Degree.

Scholarship Eligibility
- No Special Restriction applicable.
- Applicants must hold an offer to study on a WMG full-time MSc course starting September 2025..
- Applicants should have an excellent academic track-record and/or strong professional profile in order to qualify..
- For conditional offer-holders, scholarship awards will also be conditional on achieving the awardee's final predicted grade..
- WMG Excellence Scholarships are for self-funded students only. NB: students with partial bursaries, on scholarship-loan schemes or partially funded by an external organisation may also be considered.
- Awardees should inform the scholarship committee if they are in receipt of another scholarship or are later awarded other funding..
- WMG Excellence Scholarships are awarded for study on UK full-time MSc programmes only..
Application Process
- Please note that the scholarship budget is limited and awards are highly competitive - in order to maximise your chances of success, you should submit your MSc application as early as possible
- Scholarship Statement- The questions below form your Scholarship Statement, which will be assessed by the Scholarship Committee as part of this application.
- The scholarship committee cannot make a judgement about your financial affairs, so please only focus on your achievements and future plans. Please note that your answers may be submitted to a copy/plagiarism checking system to verify their originality. However, given that your scholarship essay may be quite similar in content to your Statement of Purpose, we recognise and accept that you can use content from your own Statement of Purpose.
