ANSWER : iv - The aim of the trip
Explanation :As stated in paragraph A, line 4, “His goal was to locate the remains of a city called Vitcos, the last capital of the Inca civilisation.” Thus, the best-suited heading for the first paragraph is the aim of the trip.

ANSWER : vi - A new route
Explanation :It is cited in the first and the last line of paragraph B, “a track had recently been blasted down the valley canyon” and “but also therefore never passing through the area around Machu Picchu.” Hence, it can be concluded that the new route was discovered.
